Did you know that Channel 8 is building a studio in the space that the Powell’s Travel Bookstore used to occupy in Pioneer Square? I think it’s a great/awful idea! I love that we will have a Today Show-style news studio here in little ol’ Portland and that the only people hanging out outside the windows will be street kids and crazies.
I can’t wait!

she has peed on my nieces bed three times. all over. on the comforter, on the pillows, on the sheets. not to mention all over her roommate’s clean laundry.
I think a lot of things can cause a cat to pee places other than it’s litter box. I’m not especially knowledgeable on the subject. Still, when Catherine and I lived together she got a kitten named Trevor. He had a habit of peeing on our beds occasionally. We basically just thought he was an asshole- I think me, especially. I really didn’t have any patience for him.
Well, it turned out he had some kind of terrible bladder problem that ultimately proved fatal. It was really sad and I ended up feeling like a total jerk for being mad at him all the time.
Maybe the kitten should visit the vet?

Yeah, I’ll see your Recess and your Pepper Ann and I’ll raise you the Weekenders.
(Even though I admit I liked Pepper Ann best.)
Just hearing Pepper Ann mentioned instantly made me start singing the song in my head. Turns out I know every word! Glad that’s taking up space in my brain!

Ever since I purchased my rubber boots I’ve been wishing I had more opportunities to wear them. I know that Oregon is known for it’s rain, but the last couple months have been relatively dry and even when it does rain it hardly requires special gear.
Well, today is the day I was waiting for. It is really coming down. But did I wear my rain boots today? No. I even considered wearing them and then decided against it because I thought it might not be raining all that hard later and I would have to carry them home. Oh, and guess what shoes I wore instead! White linen flats!!!
Now I have two filthy, sopping sponges on my feet. So smart.
Best thing about going to the pumpkin patch? Finally getting my rubber boots legitimately muddy.
