It’s going to be so hot this weekend! I would really love to go out to some sort of river, lake or creek with people and do some swimming! Also, I need to find a super secret and awesome swimming hole in the area.

I grew up going out to Merwyn Dam for swimming. It’s pretty fun. They have a floating dock and if you get there early enough, before all the sediment is stirred up, you can see big scary fish way down at the bottom. It’s awfully busy, though.

More recently I’ve tended to go out to Sauvie’s Island or the Washougal River (my mom and her husband’s swimming spot of choice).

Any locals have other ideas?
